(Data as of 6:15PM Wednesday, 26/08/2020)

Since 6:15PM yesterday, 388 more voters have cast their votes in the 2020 ANUSA elections, bringing the voter turnout up to 1672, or 9.15% of all eligible voters. This brings the voter turnout percentage so far within touching distance of 2018’s 9.39%. The number of votes cast every ten minutes stayed in modest single digits for most of the day.

Total votes in ANUSA elections over the past two days — today’s bump was minute compared to yesterday’s

Today’s voter turnout at 388 was a remarkable drop from yesterday’s impressive figure of 1284 by 6:15PM. It appears highly unlikely that this year’s voter turnout will breach 15% of all eligible voters. For comparison, last year’s turnout was 11.86%.

New votes cast every 30 minutes over the past two days — New Zealand would be proud of the suppression on that second wave

Votes trickled in consistently throughout the day, gently peaking at just under ten votes every ten minutes before midday. This was nothing near yesterday’s peak of approximately 50 votes every ten minutes around 10AM.

There’s not much more to say. I find myself yearning for past data to be able to compare today’s data to previous second-day voter turnout rates.
